Our Story

The Pride of Navosa

Navosa Rugby Union represents the high, rugged interior of the Nadroga-Navosa province in Viti Levu, Fiji's main island. Carved from highland communities where rugby is more than sport — it is culture, identity, and a rite of passage — Navosa was promoted to the prestigious Skipper Cup competition in 2018.

Our emblem — a figure bearing the cross — speaks to the deep Christian faith that unites our communities. We play not just for the province, but for our villages, our ancestors, and the generations to come. President Levi Nayacalevu sums it up: "These are all our local talents, all our boys from the villages of Navosa."

The highlands have produced national representatives — from Fijiana prop Salanieta Nabuli of Vatubalavu, to Fiji 7s flyer Mosese Naura from Navatusila, to coach David Dakuitoga now on attachment with the Fiji Warriors. Navosa talent rises.
